Art of Relaxing

Relaxing is an important element in the healing process. Most times pain is caused by inadequate blood flow. When we are tense, the muscles are stiffer and tighter further impacting the flow of the blood especially in the target pain areas. Relaxing not only improves the blood flow but it also help the muscles to relax which in turn makes body feel less pain and therapy & exercises are more effective. It is easier to work on relaxed muscles than to work on tense and stiff muscles. The manual therapy is "soothing when relaxed" Vs. "painful while stiff".

So how to relax and improve the blood flow?

1. There's too much on mind? A hot shower is helpful in diverting the attention. Further hot water shower help loosening up the muscles a bit.

2. Fetch a cup of herbal tea and try to remember some happy moments in life.

3. Music plays an important role in relaxing and helpful in diverting the attention.

4. Drink lots of water as it helps in cleansing up the physical system.

5. The pain is felt more when we constantly think about it. So, best approach is to keep your thoughts away from pain, divert, and think differently.

Follow and try these ways to relax, or any other way that works for you.

Have a great health lifestyle!
